Consulting Services
From assessing property to determine if it includes wetland, to designing a project and taking it through the regulatory process, PHS offers complete wetland services from some of the most experienced wetlands staff in the Northwest.
Natural Resource Planning and Design
Successful land-use planning that involves sensitive areas such as wetlands, streams or fish and wildlife habitat, requires professionals who understand environmental issues and regulations. We have extensive experience in these areas and the expertise to ensure these projects are successful in terms of project goals, environmental protection and construction issues.
As general contractors, PHS can provide complete environmental construction services. We have an understanding of the ecological and regulatory issues behind the designs. This gives us an advantage in dealing with unexpected conditions that are encountered on most construction projects.
Wildlife, Fisheries and Botany
Fish, wildlife and botanical issues can be complicated, particularly if a project is subject to regulatory agency approval and requires specialized scientific skill and experience. PHS scientists are highly skilled in species identification, inventories and fish and wildlife habitat assessments.
Our expertise in bioengineering, fish and wildlife biology, hydrology, erosion control, native plants, and construction guides us in assessing, designing and implementing habitat restoration. When working with degraded urban streams, we consider land-use, flood conveyance, aesthetics and public safety in addition to ecological issues.
Water quality impacts our lives in many ways and is an important indicator of watershed conditions. PHS provides scientific and technical expertise in water and soil chemistry, toxicology, watershed assessment, erosion control and hydrology.
